See that picture on the left? Those of you who have been around PCs for long enough will recognize it as the infamous "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD). And, unfortunately, it has made a widespread comeback for XP users in the wake of some security updates Microsoft released last Thursday (2/11/10).
Apparently, a much-needed security update has incapacitated quite a few PCs running Windiws XP; users report (and we have experienced) encountering the BSOD after compliantly restarting their computers to finish the update. Basically, a bug in the update is preventing XP from booting normally. You can read more about the problem and Microsoft's solution at
